October. The decreasing hours of sunshine determine our mood and the weather seems ‘moody’.
Mood does not have to mean moody though. It’s not a specific subject but more what it looks like. And what it feels like. This month, I asked the collaborators for this project to show some sort of ‘mood’.
- a temporary state of mind or feeling
- an angry, irritable, or sullen state of mind
The mood of a photo is pretty much subjective and the photographer alone will know what mood they are trying to create. The goal is to portrait mood in a way that others can feel it to. Or feel something at least.
Factors that create and determine mood of an image are the light, the point of view, the emotion, the styling, the subject and even the post processing.
